Founder and Chairman, Marc Mexsom 


Marc founded the Australian Not-for-Profit Charity, Community Courage, in 2020. The organisation was formed 10 days after he went public with a video openly talking about being sexually abused by two men, when he was a child. The community donated the $10,000 target that Marc was asking for, within 9 hours of him posting the video on line. These community donations funded the start of Community Courage LTD. Marc has twenty years’ professional experience working across the military, custodial services and security and emergency management industry. He holds tertiary qualifications in business management and security/terrorism studies. Marc is a proud father of three children. 



Treasurer and Director, Steve Pyle 

Steve currently works for Woodside Petroleum as Manager Business Integrity, responsible for anti-fraud & corruption compliance and internal investigations. He has been a Chartered Accountant since 2001, and spent 17 years working for accounting firms in Australia and the UK, including 9 years at KPMG – focussed on insolvency and forensic accounting. Previous Board experience includes the Advisory Council of St Brigids College, and Treasurer of the Home-Based Learning Network of WA. Steve holds tertiary qualifications in commerce and arts. He is married and has two children. 


Company Secretary and Director, Brant Yates 

Brant is a risk and business management professional with twenty years of experience across law enforcement, military and the security industry. Brant excels in developing and implementing risk management frameworks to support organisations operating in strictly regulated environment and has recently focused on projects that engage community and build safety and resilience. He holds tertiary qualifications in business management. Brant is engaged, with three children. 

Director, Rachel Frazer

Tachel has over 18 years experience recruiting within the legal industry and is the Managing Director of Mandau Legal. She has successfully partnered with a wide variety of firms both domestically and internationally and is well known and respected within the Australian legal market where she has a reputation as a ‘trusted advisor’ with her many longstanding clients. An experienced campaigner with a extensive background in providing strategic business advice and management consultancy services, Rachel is a great addition to the Community Courage Board. Rachel is a passionate advocate for child sexual abuse survivors (Warriors) and is driven to empower people to talk and report about child sexual abuse matters. Rachel is a mother of 3 and has a long history of service to Not-for-Profit’s in Western Australia.

Further appointments to the Board of Community Courage and supporting company structure are currently under consideration and will be included on this website following completion of the due diligence process. Further appointments will bring diversity of thought to the company and provide substantial experience from within the community services, legal, cultural studies and mental health support services sectors.
